Titled \"A Ride with Mr. Peanut\". Great design with full-color \"model\" art on left side of each page spread. Black & white duplicate \"coloring\" pages on right using left page as a guide. 4 pages neatly colored. Mr. Peanut is prominent throughout. Choice Planters advertising on back cover.
Condition of PAINT BOOK NO. 2 is considered only FAIR to POOR with miscellaneous surface/stain/edge wear. Moderate surface creasing with extensive tears & edge/corner chips on cover (front cover loose).
Overall, despite obvious defects, we feel this book is still in displayable condition by most standards (see photos).
As a bonus, we will include a \"PLANTERS IS THE WORD FOR PEANUTS\" original banner advertisement - Approx. 1950s Planters. 21\" x 7-5/8\". Color litho on paper. Spectacular mid-spread banner ad with three marching Mr. Peanut figures and various product packaging (including \"Jumbo Block\" Peanut Candy).
This highly graphic display has a very \"trolley car sign\" look to it. It was actually the mid-spread to a 1950s Planters \"PRESIDENTS OF THE U.S.A.\" Paint Book (see photo of back). You are buying the mid-spread ad only (rest of booklet is not included). A choice Planters advertising piece with outstanding eye appeal.
Condition of BANNER is considered GOOD to FAIR with moderate surface/stain/edge wear. Mild surface creasing with no tears or separations. Folded in middle with staple holes as issued. Neat spot coloring on ad back. Overall, we feel this is a very displayable example by most standards.
