1927 ILLINOIS passenger license plate.Steel tag, 4⅜\" x 13½\", uses a bright orange base with jet-black embossed lettering and rims. 100% original paint, with NO touch-ups.DESIRABLE ISSUE, the ONLY YEAR for this design with black embossed state outline and sunken \"ILL 27\" inside it.
Plate is STRAIGHT and lies FLAT, with no bends, no tears to metal, no corrosion, and no extra holes. Paint is SOLIDand STRONG, withEXCELLENT gloss. Some scratches and paint chips, as expected with age/use, and a few stains and some grease/dirt on back. Not really any rust (any has been cleaned away.) Still makes for a BRILLIANT DISPLAY, and can easily be remounted on wall or other flat surface. Please, check out all the attached photos for details!
