Original 1918 memorial funeral cabinet card printed in remembrance of Dewey William Franklin Gehris of Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. Printed in gold on black cardstock with mourning imagery including doves, floral wreaths, palms, and an open Bible. Blank reverse.
The card reads:
- Dewey W. F. Gehris
- Born May 15, 1899
- Died February 22, 1918
- Age 18 years, 9 months, 7 days
It also features the mourning verse beginning, \"A precious one from us has gone...\" and the banner, \"Gone but not forgotten.\"
Research indicates Dewey William Franklin Gehris was born in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, the son of James B. Gehris and Ellen Rebecca Gehris. He died in Upper Saucon Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, and was buried in Friedensville Cemetery, Friedensville, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.
