Antique L.C. Tiffany Favrile Glass Tile Lot 18 Iridescent 1" (LCT)
This listing is for a lot of 18 authentic antique Favrile glass tiles produced by L.C. Tiffany (LCT), each measuring approximately 1 inch square. While Tiffany tiles are most commonly associated with larger architectural formats, small-format examples such as these were produced for mosaic work, borders, and fine ornamental installations. As with all early Favrile glass, slight dimensional variation is expected due to hand-molding and finishing practices of the period.
The tiles feature iridescent Favrile glass, exhibiting saturated greens, blues, golds, and magenta tonal shifts. The surfaces display pronounced internal movement, concentric flow lines, and layered coloration intrinsic to the glass itself rather than surface-applied decoration. These optical effects shift with light and viewing angle and are hallmarks of Tiffany’s patented Favrile process.
The reverse surfaces show characteristic LCT mold impressions, consistent with known Tiffany production methods for small-format architectural tiles.
Originally created for architectural installations and decorative schemes, Favrile tiles of this type are now sought after by collectors, designers, and restorers for their material quality, surface complexity, and historical significance.

Condition is consistent with age and prior architectural use. Please note:
Some tiles exhibit chips to the back, corners, or edges
Minor surface wear, uneven thickness, and edge losses may be present
