1823 Letter of future Secretary of the Treasury Walter Forward who was also a Congressman representing Pennsylvania. He was Secretary of the Treasury under John Tyler. Concerning a bank judgment and a land issue. Letter is signed May 15, 1826 after he had lost re-election to Congress. A prior owner glued it to a light card and also attached at the top a latter day postage stamp issued honoring Forward. Good Condition. We reduce postage formultiple items sold.
