17 Pc Teavana Japanese Cast Iron Teapot Set w/ Cups & Saucers, Made in Japan:
$250.00

This 17-piece Japanese cast iron (tetsubin) tea set was produced in the 2000s to 2010s.
Maker & Origin
Iwachu (岩鋳): The maker's mark stamped in the rectangular box (岩鋳) identifies the renowned Iwachu Casting Works in Morioka, Iwate Prefecture, Japan. Iwachu is one of the premier producers of traditional Nambu Tekki (Nanbu ironware).
Teavana Connection: The bottom of the trivet/stand explicitly features the Teavana logo alongside the Iwachu stamp. During the 2000s up until Starbucks closed Teavana's brick-and-mortar stores in 2017, Teavana commissioned custom-branded, high-end cast iron sets directly from Iwachu for retail sale in North America.
Design & Piece Breakdown
The set features Iwachu's popular Dragonfly (Tonbo) pattern finished in black with hand-applied gold highlighting. In Japanese culture, the dragonfly is a traditional symbol of courage, strength, and good fortune.
The 17-Piece Count:
1 Dragonfly Teapot (Tetsubin)
1 Matching Teapot Lid
1 Stainless Steel Mesh Infuser Strainer
1 Cast Iron Trivet Stand (with Teavana & Iwachu markings)
6 Enamel-Lined Cast Iron Teacups
6 Matching Cast Iron Leaf-Shaped Saucers/Coasters
Materials & Care
Enamel Interior: The teapot and cups are lined with porcelain enamel to prevent rusting and allow for easy brewing of loose-leaf teas.
Care Instructions: Never heat the teapot directly over an open flame or stovetop burner (the inner enamel will crack). Boil water separately in a kettle, place loose tea into the stainless basket, and pour hot water into the pot. Clean with warm water only—never use soaps, abrasive pads, or dishwashers.Listing Key Features
