Collection from one family of 10 original vintage black-and-white photographs documenting Mackinac Island, Michigan, believed to date from approximately 1957–1959.
An interesting group of mid-century snapshots showing everyday life and tourism on Mackinac Island, including:
Historic Main Street with bicycles, pedestrians and storefronts
Burdick's Luncheonette storefront signage
Horse-drawn transportation and a close-up of a harnessed carriage horse
Fort Mackinac historic entrance sign and grounds
Historic cannons and visitors
Mackinac Bridge viewed from the island
Additional historic buildings and monuments
The Burdick's Luncheonette sign provides an interesting dating clue, suggesting a late-1950s period when the business operated under that name.
These appear to be original personal photographs rather than commercially produced postcards.

An appealing group for collectors of Mackinac Island history, Michigan photography, vintage tourism, historic businesses and mid-century Americana.
