The litho cards shown in the image are part of the famous series “America’s Fighting Planes in Action”, a collection of advertising and information material published in 1942-1943 by The Coca-Cola Company. During World War II
these illustrations were distributed by local Coca-Cola bottlers in the form of small sets of collectible cards, to help citizens and enthusiasts identify U.S. military aircraft.
The original paintings used for this series bear the signature of the well-known aeronautical illustrator William Heaslip.
