Blade has given excellent heat treatment and rock well hardness of the blade along its edge is 50 to 54 and along the spine is 42-45. 4 mm thick blade has fantastic hand grinds on both side with top side left with a false edge. When needed, use a Diamond Wet Stone or better to re-sharpen the blade at 20-degrees. When done using the item, wash it in soap and water, dry completely, coat in gun oil and store away from the sheath. Leather pulls moisture out of the air and can rust the blade if stored improperly.
