Our hand knapped musket and pistol flints are each handmade in the USA in the traditional flake style - sometimes called the Brandon, England style. Each flint is formed from top quality US sourced flint. They are well formed and throw a beautiful shower of sparks. Offered at a very attractive price, there is no reason to get caught on the hunt or in the field without a good flint. Note: The flint type/color may vary from the images as they are selected based on size from current stock.
Measuring for a flint: To determine the size flint you need for your weapon, simply measure the width from the blade\'s edge (the part that strikes the frizzen) to the rear of the flint. A slightly oversizes flint can always be trimmed down slightly by knapping or notching the rear of the flint.
