Texas Masonic & DeMolay Historical Archive
(1900s–1966)
This unique \"time capsule\" archive documents the life and travels of Texas Freemasons in the mid-20th century. Found preserved within a private library, these items offer a rare look at the fraternal journey from youth to national pilgrimage.
Lot Includes:
-10-Card Vintage Postcard Set: Early \"Chrome\" era views of the George Washington Masonic National Memorial (Alexandria, VA). Includes rare \"Mixed Zone\" (Washington 4 & 5) cards from the early 1950s. These are all unmarked and in pristine condition.
-1966 Memorial Brochures: Two original souvenir guides from the Feb 22, 1966, Washington Birthday Pilgrimage, including the \"Mystic Shrine Rooms\" guide. The Pilgrimage has some foxing mainly on the front. The \"Mystic Shrine\" guide is clean with a slight crease on the back.
-Order of DeMolay Cards (1960–1961): Two \"Life Member\" cards for Donald L. Pollard, Hope Chapter (Wichita Falls, TX). Includes the Frank S. Land memorial edition card. These cards show a fair amount of wear and tear as well as toning/soiling.
-Masonic Degree Cards (1961): Original \"Entered Apprentice\" and \"Fellowcraft\" cards for Donald L. Pollard, Irving Lodge No. 1218 (Irving, TX). These are edge worn and light toned/soiled.
-A 1950s Widows & Orphans Certificate from Hubbard City Lodge No. 530, featuring notations that state the member came from a previously consolidated Texas Lodge #831 Malone Texas. I\'m unable to positively identify the members name. This form was folded and there is some damage along the middle fold. See photos.
