Unique small hand-carved bear figurine made from dark green mottled natural stone.
The bear is carved in a distinctive upright seated/standing pose with detailed facial features, paws, feet, ears, and body. The stone has beautiful natural light and dark green mottling throughout, giving each area of the carving a different appearance.
Approximate size: 2½ inches tall
Color: Dark green with lighter natural stone inclusions
Material: Natural green stone — exact stone type unknown
Subject: Bear
Type: Hand-carved stone animal figurine / sculpture
This is a vintage/previously owned piece and shows natural variations in the stone as well as minor surface imperfections consistent with a hand-carved item. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they are part of the description.
I have not had the stone professionally tested, so I am not representing it as jade, serpentine, soapstone, or any other specific gemstone.
A great little piece for collectors of carved stone animals, bears, folk art, gemstone carvings, or unique vintage collectibles.
