Vintage 1985 Napa Valley Wine Festival Earl Thollander Framed Poster 20x26 For Sale

Earl Thollander (1922/1923-2001) was a respected California artist, illustrator, travel writer, and author whose work became closely associated with Northern California, Napa Valley, and Wine Country. His distinctive pen-and-ink style combined with watercolor washes made him one of the region\'s most recognizable artists, producing numerous travel illustrations, books, and promotional posters celebrating California\'s landscapes and vineyards. His Wine Country posters continue to enjoy a dedicated following among collectors of California art and wine memorabilia.

This example remains housed in what appears to be its original vintage metal frame, adding to its authentic mid-1980s presentation.

Measurements:

• Poster: 20\" H x 26\" W
• Framed: Approximately 20 1/8\" H x 26 1/8\" W

A nice original example that presents beautifully despite honest age-related wear. Colors remain vivid and attractive. Minor humidity-related marks and slight waviness are present, along with a small surface tear in the lower left border resulting from separation from the original glass after decades of storage. The tear does not significantly detract from the display and does not extend into the main artwork. The vintage frame has typical cosmetic wear but complements the piece well.
