Rare authentic pre-war German cotton Christmas tree ornament โ anthropomorphic โHare in a Capoteโ (Rabbit Girl in Hood and Skirt).
Early German handmade piece, 1930sโ1940s. Classic spun-cotton technique: wire armature, pressed molded cotton, paste coating with mica sparkle. Face is original composition (mastic) with period hand-painted features. Details include the hood (capote), skirt, and dark boots. Original wire hanging loop intact.
Height: 20 cm / 7.9 inches.
Condition: Good collectible condition for an 80โ90-year-old item. Cotton remains firm and retains its shape. Original paint on the face. Natural age signs only โ soft patina, slight darkening of the cotton, and minor surface wear that confirm authenticity. No restoration, no modern repairs or repainting. Fully original.
