Superb and quite rare and desired Navy Commission at the height of the Civil War dated April 4th, 1862 hand signed by President Abraham Lincoln and countersigned by the Secretary of the Navy, Gideon Wells . Document is in nice condition with original Department of the Navy Seal attached(vellum is much nicer than seen on most Lincoln commissions) and measures 15 1/4\" x 19 1/4\" .
Lincoln\'s signature is rather strong and quite distinct in brown ink and far nicer as well than normally seen on a Civil War Appointment on vellum.
Of course both signatures are also guaranteed to pass Beckett, PSA, or JSA with no time restrictions. I also authenticate Presidential autographs here in the Washington, D.C. area for the last 45+ years .
