Pull the string firmly until you feel the *click* trigger. This will activate the toy for a voice response. If there is still no sound try replacing batteries in the toy with three "AG13" or "LR44" button cell batteries. *DO NOT* remove the sound module from toy or else parts will become loose; it may rotate freely inside the toy. Twist the cap off with a counter clockwise motion. You can unscrew the battery compartment on the sound module with a standard Philips head screwdriver.
Some stringing may exists from the 3d printing manufacturing process and can easily be removed by quickly passing a lighter through the area.
