This Book is a Rare Antique Catholic Christian Collectible. This First Edition was published by Extension Press (Chicago, Illinois) in 1919. It is Hardcover Bound in brown cloth boards, accented with detailed Gilt (gold leaf) Lettering and borders on the front cover. The book features full-page religious artwork illustrations rendered in a distinct sepia tone, tracing traditional Marian devotion themes. The artwork is by multiple artists, with such notables as Van Dyck, Murillo, Raphael, Velasquez, and Titian.
Pre-Owned in Good Antique condition. Some Exterior Cover & Spine Wear From Age. Spine and hinges cracked. Corner bumps. Pages are loose but not detached, and all pages are present. Pages are yellowed but are not brittle. There are page tears at the bases of Pages 39 thru 43. No Jacket. See photos for size and condition, and pay special attention to the spine and binding photos.
