π― The Birth of Tigra
This is the book that introduces Greer Nelson as Tigra, giving #1 lasting importance well beyond the Werewolf By Night run.
Itβs also a great-looking Bronze Age monster book in its own right. Tigra and Werewolf by Night dominate the cover, and the oversized Giant-Size format gives the issue plenty of shelf presence.
Tigra went on to become a longtime Marvel character with ties to the Avengers, West Coast Avengers and other major Marvel teams, making this one of the more significant first appearances to come out of Marvelβs 1970s supernatural books.
