Up for your consideration is a high quality antique lamp base with a two tone Japanned copper finish. The square base is made of cast iron & decorated with stylized, low-relief floral or fan motifs resembling ginkgo or palm leaves. I don't know if this was designed to hold an art glass, leaded, slag, reverse painted, mica, or clear / etched glass shade. Over-all the lamp measures 10 1/4" tall with a 4 7/8" wide base.
