The Falcon pipe was created in 1936 by American engineer Kenly Bugg.However, the production of the Falcon was limited during World War II. In 1949,George Hunt took over the production and marketing of the Falcon pipe, and by 1954, 6 million Falcon pipeshad been sold in the USA. By 1961, production of the Falcon pipe had moved to England. In 1964,the Falcon Alco pipe was launched, and in 1967, the Falcon Brentford pipe was introducedbut was withdrawn from the market in 1979. In 1968, production of the Falcon in Chicago stopped,and in 1977, the Falcon International pipe was introduced, featuring a removable mouthpiece and filter.
Features of the Falcon Pipe
The Falcon pipe features a metal stem onto which removable briar bowls are screwed.This innovative design allows the Falcon to provide a very cool and dry smoking experiencedue to its metal construction. During use, smoke is drawn through a hole at the bottom of the bowlinto a metal humidome, where moisture is collected and the smoke is dried.The smoke is then cooled as it passes through the metal stem. The removable bowlsallow for shaking out any accumulated moisture in the humidome during smoking andthen screwing the bowl back on to continue smoking.
Maintenance and Cleaning of the Falcon Pipe
The Falcon pipe is easy to clean due to its metal construction.The briar bowl can be removed and cleaned like any other briar pipe.The humidome can be simply wiped with an alcohol-soaked cloth, and the stemcan be cleaned with a pipe cleaner just like any other ARTISTIC TREASURES
