Antique RPPC Photo Northern France Peasant Women Sugar Beet Harvest Workwear :
$18.95

This original photographic post card captures a large early 20th-century working-class labor collective—likely a sugar beet (betterave) harvest crew or regional processing team. The women wear traditional fitted white bonnets (coiffes), heavy soil-stained aprons, and dark utility jackets, with a patterned shoulder shawl (pèlerine) highlighted on the seated front worker. Overseeing men wear classic wool flat caps (casquettes). They are posed outdoors against low masonry ashlar buildings with clay tile roofs characteristic of rural French and Belgian industrial farmsteads.

Card exhibits light edge and corner wear, minor overall toning, and faint silvering in dark areas under close inspection. The heavy, unprinted reverse shows a single pencil/ink mark ("7") at the top right. Sturdy cardstock with no major creases, tears, or pinholes.
