🃏1977 Russell DC Comics Joker #9 SGC 4 Batman Vintage Non-Sports Card💎:
$249.95

Here is a very cool and surprisingly tough vintage Joker collectible from Russell Manufacturing Company’s 1977 DC Comics playing-card issue.

This card features the Joker in his classic purple suit, green vest and cane, with the fantastic oversized Superman-logo card back that immediately identifies it as a piece of 1970s DC merchandising history.

The card has been professionally authenticated and graded SGC 4 VG-EX.

🦇 A GREAT PIECE OF BRONZE AGE DC HISTORY

The late 1960s and 1970s marked one of the most important periods in the Joker’s history. After becoming increasingly campy during the Silver Age, the character was returned to his darker roots during the Bronze Age.

Legendary artist Neal Adams, working with writer Dennis O’Neil, played a major role in redefining the Joker during this period—most famously with Batman #251 in 1973. Adams helped establish the taller, leaner, more sinister Joker appearance that strongly influenced how the character would be depicted for decades afterward.

Russell’s 1977 Super Hero Color-A-Deck / playing-card series was produced during this same classic DC era. Neal Adams artwork is documented on related Russell/DC packaging, making these cards especially appealing to collectors of vintage DC merchandising and Bronze Age comic art.

⭐ WHY THIS CARD IS SPECIAL

• Original 1977 DC Comics issue
• Features The Joker, Batman’s most iconic villain
• Professionally graded SGC 4 VG-EX
• Vintage Russell Manufacturing playing-card issue
• Classic Bronze Age Joker imagery
• Produced during the legendary Neal Adams-era of Batman and Joker artwork
• Excellent crossover collectible for Batman, Joker, DC Comics, Neal Adams-era, and vintage non-sports collectors

These Russell cards are much less commonly encountered than mainstream Topps issues, particularly already authenticated and encapsulated by a major grading company.

The card also has tremendous display appeal in the black SGC holder—the purple and green Joker artwork really pops against the tuxedo-style slab.

A terrific vintage piece for any Joker, Batman, DC Comics, Bronze Age, or non-sports card collection.

PLEASE NOTE: Graded card holders may exhibit minor factory-related imperfections such as light surface scuffs, fine scratches, small marks, or other cosmetic variations resulting from the grading, encapsulation, handling, or production process. These minor holder imperfections do not affect the assigned grade or condition of the card inside the holder. Please review all photographs carefully, as they are part of the item description and show the exact slab you will receive.

Also available: Vintage 1975–76 Marvel Super Heroes sticker slabs, monster cards, Star Wars, and other scarce graded non-sports collectibles.
