🌎 Original National Geographic “The Earth’s Moon” map, dated February 1969, Vol. 135, No. 2.
This large fold-out lunar map was published only months before the Apollo 11 Moon landing and features detailed illustrations of the Moon’s near side and far side, lunar phases, craters, Apollo mission information, orbital diagrams and other astronomy-related material.
✍️ The upper margin is signed in blue ink and appears to read David H. Levy. David H. Levy is a noted astronomer and co-discoverer of Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9. The signature has not been professionally authenticated, so it is being sold as an unverified signature.
