WAPAK #10 Center Logo Cast Iron Skilletthat was produced in Wapakoneta, Ohio. Circa 1903-1910.It is free of cracks, chips, rust and sits flat. It has been stripped in a lye bath, cleaned and seasoned twice with Crisco in a 500 degree oven. It has a ghost mark from the Griswold Erie of 716A.Measurements: 11 1/2" across the top, 10" cooking surface and is 2 1/4" deep. The cooking surface is nice, with typical utensil marks which will fill in with use. Very beautiful pan for its age.The WAPAK company began business in 1903 and closed in 1926 due to bankruptcy.The foundry was located in Wapakoneta, Ohio and they produced Skillets, Bean Pots, Dutch Ovens, Sad Irons, Kettles, Griddles, and Waffle Irons.They manufactured WAPAK and Oneta Cookware; and are best known for their WAPAK Indian Head Logo.
