This Scotland Highland China Vase has beautiful painted thistles on 2 sides and is most likely made of fine bone china. The vase doesn't have specific marks that state this is bone china, but based on some research, it seems that Highland China may have only used bone china. However, I can't verify for sure that this is definitely bone china. You can see a hint of light coming thru the bottom when you hold up to a light and look inside the vase. The internet says light coming thru usually means its bone china....and the internet is always right :-) The vase is in excellent / mint condition with no obvious chips, scratches, or blemishes on the vase. The vase is about 6" high and 3" diam (at widest) and was most likely made in the 1970's.
Also included in this lot is a "Souvenir of Scotland" Dish. This dish features a man in a kilt playing the bagpipes and painted thistles. The dish is about 4.5" diameter and is in very good condition. There is the slightest little bit of wear on the gold perimeter paint that is barely visible. Also, there are some marks below the word "Scotland" and above the bottom thistles. They appear to be small chips or stains but are hard to see.
