Vintage 1947-1963 Girl Scout CURVED BAR AWARD PIN Highest Award \"Be Prepared\" For Sale

Here we have one vintage Girl Scout Curved Bar Pin. The Curved Bar award was first introduced in 1940, and it was only available to older girls who had already completed the First Class award. For the first few years, only a small golden patch was given. But in 1947 the Curved Bar Pin was introduced. It continued until 1963 until it became obsolete and was discontinued. They started making reproductions in the early 2000\'s, but they were clearly marked \"Repro\" on the back. You can see that this one does not, it is absolutely vintage.The pin itself measures approximately 3/4\" x 3/4\", with a safety clasp on back. This would be an amazing addition to your personal scouting collection, or perhaps the perfect gift for that special scout in your life! Condition is very important to collectors! 99% of the items I list are in excellent used to mint unused condition. If they are not, I will better explain their condition in the first paragraph of the listing. You might not receive the exact item pictured, but you will receive one of comparable quality.Here is a general breakdown of my condition definitions:Mint = Looks perfect, no visible flaws
Excellent = Nearly perfect. May have one or two pinholes, scratches or other minor imperfections
Very Good = Has several noticeable imperfections, but still looks nice overall.
Good/Average = Has many sewing/pin holes, stains, scratches, etc. Often still usable,but not always very \"pretty\"
Poor = Very obviously damaged, stained, ripped, etc. Only recommended for very high dollarand/or extremely rare items. Good \"hole fillers\" in collections
