Winchester M1873 Repeating Rifle Socket Bayonet. This measures 21\" with a blade length of 21\" with a inside socket diameter of .663\" This interesting bayonet has a shank length of only 3/4\" of an inch so that the bayonet secures beneath the barrel are distinctive. Very good condition showing a scattered brown age patina along with bright finish. These were issued both in blue and bright, this one obviously was bright. These were used on the Winchester Model 1873 44-40 lever action muskets.
