★I have other typewriters. Please take a look.★
This style of Royal portables was produced for just 2 short years, 1948 and '49. Credited for their design is renowned industrial designer Henry Dreyfuss. Go ahead, Google him. One could debate that the Dreyfuss models were the zenith of form and function in all of Royal's history. The Streamline Moderne-styled typewriters were meant to "add style to any room."
Royal Arrow portable typewriter with case. It's serial number, C1741146, dates it to 1948.
MINTY Cosmetic Condition! The gray-on-gray crinkle paint is nearly flawless except for a few spots at the rear. The tombstone-shaped keytops are gorgeous. Nickel plating is brilliant. Already quite clean though a minor cleaning, if desired, could benefit the machine. Truly display ready.
The typewriter works really, really well. Carriage advances and returns well. Nice ding at the end of each line. No sticking typebars. Ready to write.
The rubber platen is original and hard but still useable. Please email me for a quote if you are interested in having a new platen installed.
This Royal types 10 characters per inch (Pica).
Again, Minty condition!
An original case is included.
