Robbins Co. George Thoresen Design Native American Indian Chief Belt Buckle VTG

Up for sale is a very nice example of the Robbins Co. George Thoresen design Indian belt buckle with the original design clasp. It measures 3 1/8” by 1 7/8”. The belt attachment is about 1.5\" wide. These were produced with the 1949 Patented design of George Thoresen of Providence, Rhode Island. It has a 3D relief of a Native American Indian Chief head in full headdress with alternating crossed peace pipes or arrows in the corners and landscape background. looks like a brass Buckle , but I have seen other described as made from copper or bronze.

It is in a nice used condition overall. There is some wear/aging, but with a good luster. There are some knocks on the edges
