Pink garnets are not uncommon from Lake Jaco, Sierra de la Cruz in Coahuila Mexico but they are quite rare when they get as red and translucent as these garnets. The intensely red grossular rhombic dodecahedral crystals to 1.6 cm on this piece are aesthetically arranged on a white skarn and quartzite matrix. Magnificent example of grossular garnet from a classic location in Mexico. Very clean of any damage. Measures 4.1 in. x 2.8 in. x 2 in. Photos taken using I Phone 12. Not photoshopped.
