RKKA M40 Vintage Soviet military soldier's water flask, Original 1940s Russian Army Water Bottle with Canvas Case for wearing on the belt
RKKA water flask made of glass. Used by Russian soldiers. In addition, you can pour into a bottle, not only water but also hot tea, coffee and other beverages. Volume 0.75 liters. There are marks "Urszel glassworks"
For the first time in Russia glass jars appeared during the First World War. Then, due to the lack of aluminum (from which the flasks are usually made), it was necessary to begin production of glass.
Not to say that the glass was much cheaper than aluminum. And the glass flasks weighed much more, not to mention much less reliability. However, aluminum was required by the military industry, and glass was not much.
