Originally the Microsix was used with Micro IBSO and attached to the side of the KAVAR 35mm camera attachments for Leica. Later, the "Leitz System Camera" attachment used Microsix-L to compute correct exposures. Over time these things get separated from their hand-held unit. Sale is just the H/D (brightfield/darkfield) remote head and cable with three pins to plug into the Gossen made meter. Only Gossen meters marked "Microsix-L" will work with this remote. Used also for other makes of microscopes by calibrating exposures via ocular ports. Yes, this probe has RMS 23.2mm fitting to go into any older RMS ocular port securely. An adapter could be found for more current 30mm ocular ports. Also useable on ground glass focusing screens and even Leica Visoflex modules. I will include an original (not a CD) Leitz System Camera detailed owner's manual ca. 1973....good info and it shows all of the various eyepieces, framing reticles, step-by-step use and different camera backs available at the time. "System" used a leaf compur shutter and cable release. Later, the Combiphot and Wild MPS took over and replaced these older meter reading rigs. Now we use modern DSLRS with 100 page owner's manuals! LEITZ WETZLAR 5972 This vintage camera is designed to fit a microscope and comes with a right angle eye piece. It is believed to expose medium format size film. This is the biggest Extreme Rare Microscope camera made by LEICA. It has the extra pieces as shown. I can hear what I believe is the shutter CLICK when the cable release is activated. It is in very good condition for it's age. The exterior shows minor loving light normal type wear. This item is for you, if you need it to complete your Leica or microscope collection. The Box is Labeled LEITZ -- WETZIAR GERMANY. Untested because of its age.
