Dealer lot of two (2) odd-shaped plaquettes from WWI.(XF/AU) Weight/Dimensions: 260 g Metal: Bronze Obverse: Woman with three children; battlefield aftermath Reverse: Child seated on fence, plea for aid to Serbian children in French; blank Description One semi-circle shaped plaquette commemmorating the horrors of WWI, struck in Paris circa 1915. One rectangular plaquette minted dated 1917 and struck as part of an appeal for Serbian children left homeless because of the war. Both very rare.
