Idol\'s and gods were often made small as to be made portable and carried much like one would a Bible or crucifix on a necklace today.
Many were made by healers for toothaches to fertility issues this one appears to be a partial effigy of a Aztec high priest or a Jaguar warrior (CUĀUHOCELOTL) but the headdress seems too large and ornate so I\'ll leave that mystery to the next owner ether way this is a special item for a special person for sure.
THIS ARTIFACT IS GENUINE AND DUG BEFORE 1965. IT WAS PIECED TOGETHER AFTER IT WAS FOUND IN VARIOUS PIECES IN THE GROUND.
