Gvat is an Israeli kibbutz in the Jezreel Valleyestablished in 1926
Kauffmann (1887-1958) was one of the mostimportant Jewish architects in Palestineinfluenced by the International Style ( Bauhaus)
He designed and initiated, almost alone, a full architectural master plan for thenew rural villages of many kibbutzim and moshavim in the northern valleys (Jezreel Valley) most notably: Ein Harod, Kfar Yehoshua, Degania alef, Nahalal.
He was also one of the architects of the Levant Fair in Tel Aviv in 1932-34
