Limited/Rare! Czechoslovak Socialist Republic (Czechoslovakia) Tourist Map 1989
The map is a tourist style map, because it shows the map of the country with historic and culturally significant landmarks and tourist attractions marked. The other side of the map also gives a deep dive into the geographic and cultural significance into the country, especially their mining industry. Note, the entire map is in Czech and NOT English.
The map was published in 1989 having 40,000 copies in circulation. This copy is 32,438. (This information can be found on the back of the tourist map, which was translated into English from Czech by Google Translate, (photo shown above). I believe that it is limited and could possibly be a rare find, even in the United States.
Following the publication of the map, the country would go from socialism to democracy being called Czechoslovakia, later breaking away into two separate nations - Czech Republic and Slovakia, which they are known as today. It is a great historically significant gem that would be great in a collector's collection.
The item does contain wearing, writing, and highlighting, with little to no rips, tears or holes.
