Description This is a new old stock stainless steel show correction bit #1105-99 with engraved German Silver shanks. The bit features “no-pinch” swivel cheeks and a very flexible 5 1/8\" modified correction mouthpiece.
There are so many things this bit is great for its hard to list them. First, the mouthpiece is loaded with give and flex and that makes it a bit with a lot of forgiveness. This means it will help to relax horses that get anxious during training, and provide some buffer for green riders with unsteady or quick hands. Plus it’s a great bit to move to from the Argentine or shanked snaffle bit. All those swivels in the mouthpiece also provide the horse with a series of signals that provide several chances to respond before the curb strap engages, and it gives the rider a lot of feel too. Since the mouthpiece is so flexy, it\'s also a great tool to work on lifting shoulders, lateral flexion and anything else you need to do. Truly an all-around bit for just about any mid-range performance horse.
This bit has beautiful hand engraved German Silver Overlay \"no pinch\" swivel cheeks on a stainless steel base that measure 8 inches long with a 2-1/2 inch purchase for a 3.2 to 1 leverage ratio. The very flexible modified correction sweet iron mouthpiece with copper roller bars measures 5-1/8 inches wide and will fit some mules and warmbloods. The close up photos show the makers mark on the inside shanks that say \"Les Vogt\" and \"Performax\".This bit is National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) show legal and is a leverage position #2 bit with a mouth power #2 mouthpiece. Leverage position #2 gives the classic-necked horse the performance advantages of perfect neck flexion and head position. Mouth Power 2 bits are considered a medium power mouthpiece and are a good match for most horses. This stunning bit will make a great addition to your show bit collection and will look great in any show ring setting.
