Antique Postcard Souvenir Folder, Chateau De Cheverny, France.
Antique French album of 24 unused postcards. The Chateau De Cheverny is in the heart of the Loire Valley and can be reached in two hours from Paris by car or train.
This Antique/Vintage Levy et Neurdein Reunis Picture Book of the Chateau de Cheverny contains 24 pictures that display views of the chateau and its grounds. The souvenir paperback book is 6” wide x 3.5” high; the pictures are separated by thin tissue paper. They are unmarked and have not been used. Some foxing from age. Crisp corners. G/VG binding and interior pages.
This publication dates from c. 1920-1932 and is the work of the collaborative photo agency created by the two well-known French photo studios of Levy Sons & Co. and Neurdein Freres.
A historian writes:
“Lévy et Neurdein Réunis was a French printing house and photograph publishing company in Paris that was created about 1920 when the printer Émile Crête acquired the printing firms Lévy Fils et Cie and Neurdein Frères. The new company was known as Lévy et Neurdein Réunis and was located at 44, rue Letellier in Paris. In 1932, the company was incorporated into the Compagnie des Arts Photomécaniques (CAP).”
