Excellent Spessartine Garnet Crystal from Loliondo, Tanzania For Sale

SPESSARTINE:Loliondo, near Serengeti National Park, Tanzania. Dimensions: 3.5 x 3.0 x 2.9cm, miniature. This is a gorgeous, intense orange and very sharp Spessartine Garnet crystal that is gemmy around the outside and more translucent toward the interior. The rich orange color is even more intense when backlit! The Garnet is somewhat variegated in color from largely rich orange to a lighter orange in a couple places due to internal fracturing near the surface. One of the points has a slight imperfection. It has excellent trapezohedral form with sharp edges and faces. It is complete except for the bottom where it is contacted where it grew against the matrix and also enables the piece to sit perfectly for display. It is 3/4 complete.
