Hammond Multiplex typewriter serial numbered 189835 which dates it to ca.1918.
CONDITION, CONDTION, CONDITON!!! This is a stunning example in better condition than most you'll find.
Cosmetically, it's excellent. The nickel plating is brilliant the keyboard is gorgeous, glossy paint and strong decals. Nothing needed other than a minimal cleaning if so desired. Displays stunningly!
The typewriter works nicely. The carriage advances and returns well and the typewheel reacts accordingly. Paper feeds smoothly. The ribbon is old and dry so type is really faint.
An original case is included. The wood base and cover have survived really well.
Again, this is an EXCELLENT example which already displays beautifully.
