It does come in the custom gift set box and was probably purchased for a good sum of money. I do not know what the Arabic writing says on the pen, but I will try to zoom in. This was brought back as a trophy souvenir from one of my friends who worked in Saudi Arabia for many years on the powerplants and military during operation desert storm. Just to imagine all the possibilities of what this pin could’ve written over in Saudi Arabia during operation desert storm. It could’ve been anything from a cease-fire agreement to a corrupt lease for oil fields. But you never had somebody a junkie pen when you’re trying to convince them to sign an important document in the Middle East.somewhere back in the 1980s and Arab stood in the desert with this pen hoping he could use it to obtain his agenda and get that document signed.
I have not tried to write with it and because of its vintage age I would assume the ink has dried out I don’t ever tamper with items that could be majorly, collectible, or valuable. I will leave that up to you if you choose to, but I would keep it and it’s nice case and tuck it in your safe.
