Welcome (back) to the wonderful world of Lilliput Lane miniatures collecting. Lovely replicas or fantasies on real British cottages and historic buildings. They aren’t making them anymore and they are delicate, so collect now.
Everything about this 1990 piece is different. It is apparently a sales promotion piece for Collector's Club member to introduce the famed Blaise Village Collection. It comes in a rich burgundy colored box with the same color felt base instead of the ubiquitous green. The box has a white cardboard sleeve. There is gold lettering on the box. The top opens without the usual cardboard toungue. A flap at the back opens to offer a view through transparent plastic into the box.
Inside the box is a miniature model of Double Cottage, about one half the size of the usual model, in a formed packaging unique to any other Lilliput.
