The Chelyabinsk Meteorite fell from the sky in Russia on February 15, 2013. An approximately twenty meter wide meteorite, it was brighter than the sun when it entered our atmosphere and exploded into fragments over Chelyabinsk Oblask in Russia about eighteen miles high in the sky. Classified as an LL Chondrite, it is a stony meteorite with low iron and metal content.
