CIRCA 1938 SHEAFFER OVERSIZED BALANCE GOLDEN BROWN FOUNTAIN PEN RESTORED For Sale

For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Fantastic Restored Circa 1938 Sheaffer White Dot Oversize Balance Fountain Pen in the Golden Brown Celluloid. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned, and put back together and now is in great writing condition.
I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, and section. I have replaced the old rubber sac with a new rubber sac. I have hand polished the gold-filled clip, cap banding, and 14K gold nib. The fountain pen cap and barrel has been cleaned, buffed, and polished to bring back the vibrancy and protect the celluloid of this fountain pen.
This fountain pen cap and barrel are in fantastic condition with no chips, cracks, teeth marks, or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The cap has a White Dot at the upper portion of the cap with a brightly polished gold-filled clip and cap band. The flat ball area of the clip displays very minor wear on the edging - extremely hard to see without magnification. The cap banding displays a bright gold fill color that has been polished - again, very minor wear at a couple of spots of the lower edging of the band this is very difficult to see without magnification. The barrel is stamped with, "W.A. Sheaffer Pen Co Fort Madison, Iowa, U.S.A. PATENTED IN U.S.A.". The ink-view window is water-clear and in excellent condition, albeit with some ambering. There are no monograms or personalizations on the cap or barrel. This Oversized Sheaffer Balance Fountain Pen measures 5 5/8" in length capped and 6 3/8" posted.
I have tested the lever-filling mechanism with water and fills as it should with the new rubber sac. It works like it did when it left the factory.
This Sheaffer has a "FINE" 14K gold LIFETIME nib. The actual writing portion, the iridium, of the 14K Sheaffer NIB has a fine point measuring roughly .56mm when measured with digital calipers. When creating a writing sample, the NIB writes with an extra fine to fine stroke/line measuring between .41mm to .53mm when measured with digital calipers. The nib writes very well but it is a rigid writer - don't expect any real significant flex The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.
This is a fabulous oversized Sheaffer Balance Fountain Pen in the vibrant Golden Brown Celluloid that would grade in Excellent Condition. This fountain pen is collector-grade and ready to write with.
