Vintage Business Card
Mr. Chinn served in the Army for four years during World WarII. After the war,
he returned home to attend UC-Berkeley and Hastings Collegeof the Law,
earning his law degree in 1953. He went into privatepractice before joining the
San Francisco district attorney's office, where he workedfor 10 years. He was
also president of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, anddirector of the
Yeong Wo Benevolent Association.
In 1969, Mr. Chinn ran unsuccessfully for the supervisor'soffice.
A year later, he was appointed to the Board of PermitAppeals by
Mayor Joseph Alioto. In 1973, Alioto appointed him to the
Board of Supervisors and Mr. Chinn had the distinction ofbecoming
San Francisco's first Chinese American supervisor.

The exact age of the card is unknown but I would estimatethat it is from the years 1960 - 1970 based on what I found onthe internet either for this individual and/or for other cards from this collection.
In the pic you can see the attached (to the back of card),a brown spiral notebook adapter.These business cards were originally kept in a smallspiral hardbound notebook whichutilized theseadapters.I have not tried to removetheseadaptersfor fear of damaging the cards.If desired, theadaptercould be removed by the purchaser.
No creases or folds.Corners are very good.
