Large 13" porcelain figurine of Napoleon Bonaparte Crossing the Alps on his rearing steed. Sculptured after the famous painting by Jacques-Louis David of 1801 andmade by Scheibe-Alsbach of Germany and marked with the factory mark dating its manufacture to some time around 1925 -1950. On its base marked within the porcelain design is, "Napoleon-Bonaparte Consul au Passage des Alpes." Loosely translated this means, "Napoleon Bonaparte First Consul in the Passage of the Alps."
Entire piece measures 13" tall x 7.75" wide x 4.75" deep. This one has the removable hand that is raised in the air and it has a chipped finger on that hand. The hand is easily repairable. Otherwise in excellent condition. This is an authentic signed piece brought from Germany by our sellers.
