- Antique Poinsettia Lidded Soup Tureen with Platter (No Ladle)
- Marked on the bottom Carlsbad BFHS Made in Austria
- Bavarian Porcelain 1896-1901
- By BFHS, Benjamin Hunt & Son
- Hand Painted China with Delicate Red Poinsettia Flowers & Berries, surrounded by green Leafy Vines.
- Scalloped Edges with Embossed details throughout accented with gold gilding
- Two side Handles and Final top make for easier use and an extra lovely detail
- Good Antique Condition. Wear to the Gold gilding: no Chips or Cracks. The platter has two long, crazing lines in the corner, still smooth with the clear glaze intact. The Finish is glossy and smooth. The patterns are intact. Different spots have discolorations; some are flaws in the ice, and some are from use—dark area on the bottom. Please look over the Photos

- Information Note:Carlsbad was a mark used on China made in Austria, Germany, and Bavaria from late 1800's to early 1900's. Many of these platters, Plates, Bowl etc were exported to the United States. Carlsbad was a town in Bohemia that was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. After World War 1 Carlsbad became Karlovy Vary Czechoslovakia. Which is now the Czech Republic.
