Arcosanti Paolo Soleri Cast Bronze Bell Brutalist Wind Chime Arizona 14" VintageDescription and Item Information
Up for sale is this vintage, cast bronze Arcosanti bell or wind chime. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This heavy piece is approximately 14 inches long from the upper hook to the bottom of the wind-catcher. It weighs 3 pounds 6.7 ounces, unpacked. This has brown, whitish, pinkish, and green verdigris areas. The brutalist design is typical of the bells produced at the Arcosanti foundry. This would be a fab addition to a modernist decor.Identification
This Arcosanti bell is marked, as shown. The exact age is not known, but it is vintage. This was made at Arcosanti in Yavapai County, Arizona. Arcosanti is an experimental town which was started in 1970 by the architect Paolo Solari (1919-2013), a proponent of arcology (synthesis of architecture and ecology). Condition
The bell looks very good overall, as shown. It has outdoor surface patination and wear, as shown. Please review the description and photos, and ask any necessary questions prior to offerding or buying.Terms of Sale1. Payments
