American Brilliant Cut Glass Rose Bowl Footed Clear Crystal Pinwheel 6.5”
This is a beautiful, heavy, sparkly, 3 toed cut crystal rose bowl and is believed to be from the American Brilliant Period. It does not have any visible chips or cracks. There are some tiny bubbles within the glass created during manufacturing. One very small bubble breaches the surface - see photos for detailed description. Approximate measurements: 6.5” tall x 6.5” wide. Opening diameter is 3.5”
American Brilliant Period cut glass is fine quality, hand-cut crystal produced from 1876 to roughly 1920. It is considered “crystal” because it comprised up to a 50% lead content (versus 24% for modern crystal), which accounted for its brilliance.
