Since it has electronics, if placed outside it needs to be in a sheltered area, such as a well-covered porch. Also, be sure to carefully place in a secure area... it is very tall and susceptible to tipping on windy days. We use heavy weights at the base to help prevent tipping. Milk jugs filled with water or sand work quite well. It is an awesome prop!
